The Cafe Photo Collective consists of photographers Steve Napoli, Don Melandry, Marsha Kirschbaum and Bill Johnston. They have met weekly for over five years, sharing their love for photography prints, field trips, tips and ideas.

Join our photographers as the Spirit of West Marin takes them on a journey of relaxation and sanctuary that winds its way through the communities of Nicasio, Point Reyes Station and to the Point Reyes National Seashore with photographic destinations between. Each photographer draws his/her inspiration from wildlife, ocean shorelines, lakes, creeks, vibrant spring greens and summer golds.

Coast Miwok Indians were very early inhabitants of Point Reyes and one can see today the bounty of natural beauty and sustenance as a reason to stay. Historic buildings and ranches remind us of the early White and Spanish settlers of this area.

The foundation remnants revealed during the dry season give testament to the controversial water management history and the Nicasio Reservoir. Darker skies mitigated by the lower population and less light pollution give a reason for the night sky photographers to stay after sunset to capture this wild beauty against starry skies.
